Half term........WHOO-HOOOOOOOO!!

Short, sweet and to the point....

We broke up today for the half term break, it's only a week off but we all really need it, ours is a hard class this time.

Today is my birthday....

Today is my birthday and despite having to work it and then go to a governors meeting at Jonathan's school until 6pm i have had a nice day.

I work with a great bunch and they have given me some lovely gifts....

Thank-you to Nanny Nell, who despite being 87 years old and ill in hospital made arrangements to get me a gift of relaxing bubble bath and a bottle of wine...Thank-you so much.

Thank-you to Manda my best mate for the lovely purse and make-up, you know me too well, i love the purse.

Feels like i've never been away!!

Well today was my first "proper" day back at work, we were in yesterday but it was a training day-no kids- but today they were back- we had some newbies join us and they settled in well and seem really nice- so far so good.

I enjoy the first couple of days after the long summer break, it's nice to catch up with everyone but then reality hits and then you feel like you were never away.

I should be pleased that i have a nice, rewarding job , with lovely friends and collegues in a warm, safe place... and i am, but sometimes i just wish i could stay at home with my dogs...Alas i am destined to work til i drop...ah well so be it!

School's out for....

Summer.... What's that then, we haven't had a summer yet and we're into August next week.

Jonathan and i have broken up for the summer holidays and to be honest we haven't done a great deal purely because of the weather. We have joined the National Trust http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ so that we can go out free of charge and we went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night. http://www.harrypotterorderofthephoenix.com/

I am still getting my head around having to give the dog injections, though i came across a brilliant site that shows you a short video clip of how to get it right. http://www.pet-diabetes.com/

I've been giving the house a major clean up and i intend to start decorating the hall, stairs and landing next week, before Mark finishes for his fortnight break. We are hoping to get down to Teignmouth in Devon for a week with the dogs in a tent...should be fun we're stopping at www.english-riviera.co.uk/accommodation/caravan-parks/wearfarm so we're all looking forward to that. Please let it be dry.

Oh well back to the hoovering...
