Dawgz 'n' deer

We had an added bonus this morning on our walk, we spotted a huge herd of deer in the trees, my camera is very basic, i would love to upgrade but funds won't allow at the moment, however the deer allowed me to get quite close and my pictures weren't too bad ~

Jonah and Jed picking up on a scent ~ notice Jed is nearly as big as Jonah now from this angle

This one shows that he is still much smaller. I think my big
boys are wearing well, they don't look nearly 11 do they?

My handsome pup

First spotting of the deer.

Getting a bit closer.
Now they've spotted us!
We all had a great walk, this is the closest i've seen the deer of Cannock chase in all the years i have lived here.

Lord Flynn's gundog!

I am under strict instructions to post this blog entry specifically for Mark's good friend Moley who now resides on the other side of the pond in Canada!

As you will see Moley, Lord Flynn has been out on his property and bagged himself a brace of mallards both of whom have been duly retrieved by his trusty black lab gun-dog Jed!

Bagged youself any moose lately old fella ?
Keep waving to those Landrovers!!

Jed's first encounter with the "wet stuff"

We have been over to Cannock Chase again this afternoon, but this time we decided to incorporate a paddle so that Jed could get his feet wet for the first time.

The water was only shallow but still came up to his chest, he didn't have the courage to get in himself so we had to lift him in, he was so desperate to do it whilst watching the other two, but just couldn't pluck up the courage.

Jonah and Jasper spotted the water first and were soon in there chasing after the passing stick.

Jed was desperate to get in there but not quite brave enough!

He just stood there a bit shocked to start with but soon grew accustomed to it all.

We all had a great walk and paddle.
