The whole crew~

To burn off some of the christmas excess we took the dogs to the chase again today.

Mark's mom and dad came over and brought Josh and the boys all had a good run, even Jonah managed to keep up the pace, he is at the healthiest he's been since being diagnosed as diabetic.

Jed bounded along off lead keeping up with the big boys, he stopped and sat to wait for his lead on when we finished the walk ~ that pup brings a lump to my throat he is so well behaved!

Jed's first walk.

Well first off, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Jed's first christmas has been a good one, he has received lots of gifts off people, but the highight of his day has been his first proper walk with his brothers.

We went over to Cannock Chase where he could have a potter about off the lead, he was as good as gold and came back everytime he was called.

He had a great time and had some Christmas turkey and a long nap when he got home-:0)

The Christmas Tree and the puppy

We put up the decorations yesterday, some people have said we must be mad with a 10 week old pup in thehouse, but i can honestly say he has been soooo good, he hasn't been anywhere near the tree, except to have his photo taken.

A Jed update- 10weeks

Jed is growing like a weed, he is getting a big boy.

He is so well behaved it is kind of scary. He is 90% house trained and is beginning to respond to simple commands like sit and wait.
Here are some recent pictures of him.

Jed is finally home...

After 8 L-O-N-G weeks of waiting our beautiful little boy is finally home.

He has been so good and has been wimpering to let me know he needs out already. He has only had 3 small accidents all day, the rest he's done out side.

Jonah and Jasper have accepted him already and have hardly batted an eyelid.

He seems to have taken to his crate well too and potters in and out when he chooses.

So far so good, but he meets his cousin Josh tomorrow which should be fun!!

So sad....:0(

In the early hours of this morning we got a call from Mark's mom and dad to say that his Nan had passed away during the night.

Nanny Nell had been poorly for a couple of months and had been in New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

We are so sad today, but especially little Jonathan who is absolutely heart broken by his great Nanny Nell's death, he loved her dearly and it is going to take him a while to get used to life without her.

Rest in Peace Nellie, you were much loved.

Jed update

Jonathan and I went to see Jed again this week.

He is 7 weeks old today and will be coming home on Nov 24th.

He has certainly grown since we last saw him but he is still so gentle and docile like his mom.

Not too long to wait now.

An Extra hook.....

Mark added an extra hook today where we keep the dog leads.

With the arrival of Jed in 2 weeks time we are starting to get things organised.

I am going up to see him again on Tuesday, he will be nearly 7 weeks old, so very different to when we last saw him.

Going down South....

Just a few quick pictures....

Mark and Jonathan spent the weekend visiting Paul, Sally Alex and Millie in Bournemouth.

I had to stay at home as Jonah has been a bit off again this weekend and i really didn't want to leave him.

You'll see just how Millie has grown and how much Jonathan enjoyed his visit.

Thanks for a great weekend....:0)

Meet Jed....

We went and met Jed today, our black lab pup.

He is only 4 weeks old so we have to wait another month yet before he can come home.

I can't wait for the next 4 weeks to pass by.

My Beautiful boys!

http://www.onetruemedia.com/share_view_player?p=404113b030ca9cde09f667

The perfect Autumn day.....

Today has been a beautiful, Autumnal kind of day, there has been a slight chilly breeze which has brought the leaves twisting and turning down from the trees and necessitated a jacket and boots outdoors.
The sun has managed to break through the cloud and cast shadows down through the trees and created the perfect kind of day for a dog stroll over Cannock Chase.
We don't tend to venture too far a field these days with our seniors as they tire easily, particularly Jonah, whose diabetes has a tendancy to show itself through too much exertion.
Today, however, the boys seemed up for a walk and so i loaded the landrover up with labradors and we set off for the short journey to the very beautiful and unspoilt, Cannock Chase.
The boys were very excited to be going out and whined in anticipation as they looked through the window, obviously recognising the sights and smells that met their eyes and noses.
Once we arrived i lifted them down and their adventure began, we only pottered about, probably only covering a mile all told, but it was enough to leave two senior gents very tired, happy and contented.

What a lovely day !

I've been baby shopping today!!

I had to call at Petsmart to pick up some bits for the dogs and i couldn't resist getting in a few supplies for the puppy whilst i was there.

Here's what i got so far.........

That's all for now I can't wait until Thursday to see him for the first time.

I got his collar engraved and we have decided on another "J" name, this time it is ....."JED"
